RANDOM SCAN DISPLAY

•  The architecture of raster sacn display and random scan is same bt the differnce is that in random scan display no local memory is provided  for scan conversion algorithm using PLA( programming logical array).
•  In random scan display a display processor as it shown instruction set and instruction address register.
•  It is also called display processing unit (DPU) or graphics controller.
•  It performs instruction fetch , decode execute cycles in any computer.
•  To provide a flicker free display the display its program 30 to 60 times per second.

•  The program execute by the display processor and the graphics package beside in the main memory. the main memory is shared by the general CPU and the display processor.
